Arrival in Buenos Aires, transfer from the international airport (Ezeiza) to Sheraton Centre
Saturday 09-oct-10
Visit to the Hurlingham Open which comprises part of the Polo Triple Crown ("triple corona") competition;
in the evening, experience an authentic tango showwith welcome-dinner
Sunday 10-oct-10
Individual tourism in Buenos Aires (Shopping, Palermo Viejo, Puerto Madero); in the afternoon (5pm) direct flight to Salta with LAN and transfer to Sheraton Salta
Monday 11-oct-10
First day of polo course (Salta City ®)
(AM= clinic, PM= practice)
Tuesday 12-oct-10
Excursion to Calchaquí Valleys, visiting the Cafayate Canyon and wineries; staying at the outstanding Sheraton Patios de Cafayate on the El Esteco winery estate.
Wednesday 13-oct-10
Second day of polo course (Salta City ®)
in Cafayate (AM= clinic, PM= practice);
in the evening traditional Argentine asado(barbecue) with tasting of local Cafayate wines
(presentation of Torrontes)
Thursday 14-oct-10
Return trip to Salta with a visit to the Colomé wine estate and its unique James Turrell museum; a visit to Cachi and an afternoon break at La Merced del Alto; arrival back in Salta in the evening
Friday 15-oct-10
Third day of polo course (Salta City ®)
(AM= clinic, PM= practice);
in the evening time for individual tourism / shoppingin Saltaand visit to the Museum of High Altitude Archaeology in Salta, which features the world-famous Llullaillaco Mummies
Saturday 16-oct-10
International polo tournament at Salta Polo Club
(on all 3 fields with teams based on nationality and handicap), Folcloristic show and gaucho talent exhibition; good-bye dinner at the exclusive Club 20 de Febrero in Salta
Sunday 17-oct-10
Direct flight to Buenos Aires in the morning
